Treasurer's Report

The board voted to nominate in only one category. Carina Brown was nominated in the Amateur category.PHSA Points Posting
Discussion on what the board can do to facilitate more timely point posting. The board acknowledges that Diane Boram does so much more for PHSA than just posting points. Possibly the board could better understand Diane's non point posting tasks with a job description & the approximate hours spent on them. Armed with this knowledge, the board might be able to take over some of Diane's duties, leaving Diane more time to concentrate on point posting. Bob will discuss with Diane. Brian will look into the feasibility of OrgPro software improving the point posting process.Sue will investigate setting up memberships on line.
PHSA Recognized Horse Shows
Barbara has been getting backup from Diane Boram with the 2009 show registration fees; and, thus far $4,035. has been collected for the year. Corey & Diane Daly will send the show managers' packets in the next month.Banquet
Gathering banquet sponsorships over the summer is critical for the board since, in 2007 the banquet lost $14,700 and in 2008 it lost $18,530.77. Cindi will be sending a series of reminders to each board member to gather sponsorships.Donated live auction/raffle items are needed. Cindi will be reminding all board members to investigate their access to these items. Bob will investigate the Key to Worchester Stables.
The board voted on Horse Show of the Year & the PHBA Trophy recipient; but, not yet for the Gambone Trophy. Sponsorship levels were discussed; and, it was decided that the $250 level sponsor would be changed to $300.
Membership
Discussion on how the board can increase membership. PHSA to send membership packets to trainers on Diane Boram's list. Postcard to existing members with ability to go online & register. There is a single membership form already voted upon by the board; and, we need to begin using it. Brian is setting up the membership database.
